Plato’s Cave
Poetry by Sunna Guloyeva

You tend to be too quick to judge
Don’t blame yourself too much:
It’s only human nature.
At times people perceive
the goodness as malicious intent;
Or vice versa.
We look at each other
through warped mirrors—
Does it mean that we all are bound to live in Plato’s cave?
I don’t know.
But it’s your choice to either stay and hide
in a cave
or get out to search for light
