Lapis Lazuli Love Letters

Poetry by Shahd Thani

He strings galaxies around my wrists,

Lapis lazuli planets, pearlescent moons

Celestial threads against the steady pulse

Whenever my lights dim

his affirmations stoke the fire,

I am a constellation radiating,

I am a sixth element humming,

I am a dancing stanza on a stage,

fairy lights strung like a path

He manifests me into a whimsical muse,

playful coquette, speaks to both
my inner child and higher self.

He writes me into myth and says he’s not a poet.
