THE HOUSE OF POETRY – THE POETRYHOOD

Come to our house at SIKKA Art Fair and explore the poetry installations and activations or simply hangout at our courtyard, mingle with other poetry lovers and read some of the poetry books we have lying around the house.

Our poetry installations consist of the following:

Poetry for Visual Art
We encourage visitors to contemplate the art work found inside (courtesy of Fann-À-Porter Art Gallery) and to inspire a poem out of it.
If a poem reveals itself, we laid out stationery items for you to “catch it” through ink and paper.
You can hang your written poem beside the artwork that inspired it for visitors to read.
Don’t forget to throw in your Instagram handle so we can find you and perhaps ask you to feature your poem on our next poetry edition!

Poetry Sensation
We invite you to hangout in our Poetry Sensation room and listen to an hour-long prepared poetry playlist.
Some of the performances are recordings from previous spoken word events by The Poetryhood!
(shhhh!! This is a quiet room!)

Message in a Bottle
In this activation room you are invited to write little messages and send it out to the world!
We also invite you to be the reader of an anonymous message or two (or more).

ندعوكم للحضور إلى منزلنا في سكّة و استكشاف المنشآت و النشاطات الشعرية. بإمكانكم الجلوس في ساحتنا و مقابلة عشّاق الشعر الآخرين أو قراءة بعض الكتب الشعرية الموجودة في بيتنا

نأمل بإلهام الزوّار بكتابة قصائد (بأيّة لغة) و نكسها بجانب العمل الفنّي الذي ألهم الشاعر بكتابة القصيدة
لا تنسوا كتابة اسمكم على الانستجرام لأن ندعوكم بعرض قصيدتكم في مجموعتنا الشعرية القادمة

الإحساس الشعري

ندعوكم للجلوس في مجلسنا للسماع إلى قائمة الشعر المعدّة لزوّار منزلنا
بعض القصائد المقدّمة هي من ندواتنا الشعريّة عبر الكلمة المنطوقة
يرجى الالتزام بالسكوت داخل المجلس

رسالة في زجاجة

ندعو زوّار منزلنا بكتابة رسالة صغيرة و إرسالها لعاشقين الشعر عبر إحدى زجاجاتنا
ندعوكم أيضاً بقراءة البعض من الرسائل المكتوبة بقلم زوّارنا السابقين
